(More customer reviews)Update 3/30/10: I still love this cookbook and have given it as gifts several times over the past 9 years. I'm concerned about the recent price hikes. This book is normally $10-$15. As of today, the lowest price is $31 and the highest price is over $800. This is just plain crazy, and I just want to warn people, not to purchase this book at these ridiculous prices. I just performed a google search, and found other on-line booksellers that offer this book at more reasonable and customary prices, some of these retailers sell on Amazon, but I have no idea why they are not listed as a seller on this particular item.
In 2001, while in OBC training at Fort Jackson, SC, I discovered a new hobby, cookbook collecting. One weekend, I purchased my first cookbook (Big Mama's Back in the Kitchen) at a flee market in Charleston, SC. If you want, clear and concise directions, results that will always bring smiles and compliments, then this is the book for you. This book set the standard for all the books in my current collection. I have given it as gifts to friends who are both inexperienced and experienced in the culinary arts. They all have one thing to say. THANK YOU!
