(More customer reviews)I have both the original 1978 publication (given to my mother when we move to the midwest from Seattle) and this updated version.
I LOVE the original, but it may be hard to find for some people. This newer version is close - some of the best, most flavorful, delicious, and EASY recipes (for a decent cook) that your friends and family will eat and love every time. I've yet to cook a recipe in either book that wasn't well-balanced and flavorful. The key is to use the best quality ingredients you can afford, pay close attention to technique, then success is guaranteed.
I think Judie has a gift for tasty vegetable dishes, and I turn to this book often when I want a memorable, yet casual, meal.I don't know why this book isn't more popular...a well-kept secret I guess!
